Restaurant targeted by gunfire in Griffintown

Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating after shots were fired Friday at a restaurant in Griffintown.

The SPVM received a 911 call at around 5 a.m. after gunfire was heard on Wellington Street, near Peel Street.

Officers located impacts from firearm projectiles on the outside of the restaurant and found a shell casing on the ground. Two windows were found broken.

There were no reported injuries.

According to the police, the suspects were in a vehicle before opening fire and fleeing.

A security perimeter was set up to allow investigators to analyze the scene.

No arrests have been made so far.
