Man struck by vehicle crossing street near Palais des congrès

A 65-year-old man is in hospital after being hit while crossing the street Friday morning in the Ville-Marie borough near the Palais des congrès.

“A collision occurred between a pedestrian and a vehicle at the corner of Chenneville Street and Viger Ave. West around 10:50 a.m.,” said Montreal police (SPVM) spokesperson Antony Dorelas.

“Upon arrival at the scene, the police set up a security perimeter. They took care of the victim, who was rushed to hospital.”

The pedestrian’s life is not in danger.

Officers from the Collision Investigation Section are on scene to analyze the circumstances surrounding the incident.
