Man critically injured in Verdun shooting

A man in his 30s was shot Tuesday afternoon while in his vehicle in the borough of Verdun.

According to Montreal police (SPVM), the shooting took place on Champlain Blvd. around 3:30 p.m.

Police say according to initial reports, there was a conflict between the occupants of two vehicles and then shots were fired.

The man was hit in the upper body and was transported to hospital in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
