Tree pruner in his 20s dies after being electrocuted

Montreal police have confirmed that a pruner in his 20s has died after being electrocuted while working on a tree on Thursday afternoon in Montreal’s Saint Laurent borough.

The work accident occurred shortly after 4 p.m., in the backyard of a residence on Fraser Street.

Employees of a tree-pruning company were working when for a still unknown reason, one of the workers touched one of the wires, while it was in the tree, several meters from the ground.
