Man killed in Quebec City

A suspect has been arrested after a man in his 30s was killed, and a woman was found injured in Quebec City overnight.

Emergency services were called around 12:55 a.m. to a home on Eugène-Lamontagne Ave., in the Limoilou area on Tuesday.

When Quebec City police (SPVQ) arrived on scene, they found the two victims, and both were taken to hospital.

The man was later confirmed dead.

The women’s life is not considered in danger.

The suspect, a man in his 30’s, was arrested by SPVQ officers. He was also found at the crime scene.

No charges have been laid, but he is scheduled to meet with investigators on Tuesday.

A security perimeter has been set up to allow investigators and forensic identification technicians to analyze the crime scene.

The SPVQ Major Crimes Unit will take over the investigation.
