Teen shot in Montreal North

A teenager is in hospital following a shooting in Montreal North on Thursday night.

Police (SPVM) responded to 911 calls at 9:45 p.m. about the incident on Maurice-Duplessis Blvd. and Laurier Ave.

Officers found the 16-year-old victim on the ground.

He suffered injuries to his upper body, but his life is not in danger.

A suspect is reported to have fled the scene on foot. 

No arrests have been made so far and an investigation is ongoing.
