Gunshots fired in Kirkland

Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating after shots were fired overnight in Kirkland, on Montreal’s West Island.

According to the SPVM, gunfire was heard around 1:25 a.m. Tuesday on Beaubois Street, near Timberlea-Trail Street.

“When officers arrived on the scene, they located several bullet holes on the garage door of a residence,” said SPVM Spokesperson Antony Dorélas.

A security perimeter has been set up to allow forensic technicians to analyze the scene.

Investigators were deployed and are reviewing surveillance camera footage.

There were no reported injuries.

No arrests have been made so far.
