Man stabbed in Montreal park

Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating after a man was stabbed at a park in downtown Montreal overnight.

The SPVM received a 911 call around 12:20 a.m. Wednesday about the incident on the corner of Berri Street and Viger Ave.

The victim, a 33-year-old man, suffered injuries to the upper and lower body. He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the police, the victim and the suspect know each other. A conflict allegedly broke out before the suspect attacked the victim with a sharp object.

There have been no arrests, and the investigation is currently ongoing.
