It happened around 10 a.m., on Atwater near the intersection of Lionel-Groulx.
The man was injured with a sharp object to his upper body.
“He was conscious when the police officer arrived. He was transported to a hospital. The hospital told us that he’s going to survive. There’s no danger for his life. The suspect fled before the police arrived,” said Montreal police (SPVM) spokesperson, Antony Dorelas.

A conflict allegedly started on Atwater and Notre-Dame, and moved towards Lionel-Groulx, where it degenerated and the suspect reportedly stabbed the victim with a sharp object.
