15-year-old hit by SUV in Anjou dies of injuries

A 15-year-old boy who was hit by an SUV Wednesday night while crossing the street in Anjou has died of his injuries.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. at the corner of Louis H. La Fontaine Boulevard and Métropolitain Boulevard while the boy was crossing at a pedestrian crosswalk.
According to police, the vehicle was travelling north on Louis H. Lafontaine before hitting the pedestrian, who was walking on Métropolitain. The teenager was taken to hospital in critical condition.
The SPVM is confirming it’s the 16th fatal collision in Montreal this year – 10 of those have involved pedestrians.
The police investigation is ongoing.
