Laval public transit buses: $1 on Sept. 27

By News Staff

The Société de transport de Laval (STL) wants the public to take the bus in honour it’s annual $1 Day on Sept. 27.

Riders can pay for their ticket on the bus by debit card, credit card, or cash.

The STL said everyone should take advantage of this special deal to explore different areas of Laval and to change their daily transportation habits.

“By proposing this annual day, the STL wants to demonstrate that public transit in Laval is accessible and easy to use for anyone who wants to try it,” said Jocelyne Frédéric-Gauthier, Chair of the STL Board of Directors. “Traffic congestion has fully returned, and climate change is constantly being felt, choosing public transit also means choosing to travel in a more sustainable way.”

This marks the 8th edition of $1 Day for the STL.

In 2023, 1,700 trips were recorded as part of the initiative, representing a three per cent increase in usual ridership.

The STL’s regular bus network has 45 bus lines, with nearly 2,700 stops.
