Motorcyclist hospitalized after hitting concrete structure in Montreal

A motorcyclist was transported to hospital after hitting a concrete structure in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough overnight.

“Speed ​​could be a factor in this event,” said Manuel Couture, a spokesperson for the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM).

Around 3:40 a.m. Sunday morning, police received a 911 call regarding a crash involving a motorcycle and a concrete structure on Avenue Pierre-De-Coubertin, near the Leclaire intersection, in Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.

According to initial information, the motorcyclist, who was traveling eastbound on Avenue Pierre-De-Coubertin, lost control before hitting the concrete structure and crashing. He was taken to hospital with a head injury. The seriousness of his injuries was not immediately available.
