Suspect arrested after assault in Montreal’s Ville-Marie

A man in his 60s was injured by a sharp object after a conflict broke out in the borough of Ville-Marie in Montreal on Tuesday.

According to the Montreal police (SPVM), the altercation took place shortly after 1 p.m. at the corner of Saint-André and Sainte-Catherine Street.

The victim sustained injuries to the upper body and was transported to hospital.

His life is not considered in danger.

Officers arrested a 27-year-old suspect.

The SPVM suspects the conflict may be related to drugs.
