Major road closures this weekend: Île-aux-Tourtes and Honoré-Mercier bridges
There will be several road closures around the Montreal area this weekend.
According to Quebec’s Transport Ministry, the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge will be completely closed in both directions and the Honoré-Mercier bridge will have one lane available in each direction.
Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge/Highway 40

There will be several road closures starting on Friday at 11:59 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday:
Highway 40 westbound between Exit 41 – Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue / des Anciens-Combattants Blvd. / Highway 20 westbound / Île Perrot and the entrance from Saint-Charles Ave. will be completely closed.
Highway 40 eastbound between Exit 35 – Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac / Vaudreuil-Dorion / St-Charles Ave. and the entrance from des Anciens-Combattants Blvd. will be completely closed.
The ramp heading east from Highway 40 towards the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge will be closed at the Highway 30 interchange.
Drivers are urged to use Highway 20 and 30 instead.

Also, due to a new lane configuration, the Rue des Pins entrance to Highway 40 westbound will be closed for one year, starting on Sept. 23. Motorists should take the next entrance instead, on des Anciens-Combattants Blvd.
On Sept. 23, the lanes on Highway 40 will be rerouted around the bridge. Three lanes will be available, including two in the direction of traffic flow during peak times.
Additionally, the tolls will be suspended in both directions on Highway 30.
Honoré-Mercier bridge
One lane will be available in each direction on the bridge from Friday at 10 p.m. until Saturday at 11 a.m.

The entrance ramp and the reserved lane from Airlie Street will also be closed.
Work may be postponed, extended, or cancelled due to weather conditions or operational constraints.
