Pedestrian struck, killed on Highway 40 in Montreal, SQ looking for witnesses

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is looking for witnesses of a fatal collision on Highway 40 at de L’Acadie Blvd. in Montreal.

Emergency services were called around 9 p.m. on Sept. 12 about the incident on the Metropolitain, where a man unconscious on a westbound lane.

According to initial information, officers believe he fell from the L’Acadie Blvd. viaduct, and then was fatally struck by a vehicle while on the ground.

The driver then fled the scene.

The car is described as a white Toyota Rav4.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are seeking to interview anyone who may have witnessed the incident, particularly the occupant(s) of the Toyota Rav4.
