Players teed off early Saturday morning as day three of the 2024 Presidents Cup is in full swing, but after the first two groups played the first hole, PGA Tour officials suspended play due to heavy fog.
At the time of the suspension, around 7:23 a.m., the left fairway bunker was completely obscured by fog at Royal Montreal’s first hole.

Play resumed 1h 36 minutes later — around 9 a.m.
Tee time adjustments were made for the third and fourth groups.
But these delays also mean there’s a chance that the afternoon foursomes session will not be completed Saturday.
We’ll have to see if they’ll finish before sundown — which is set for 6:39 p.m.
The Royal Montreal Golf Club hosted the Presidents Cup back in 2007 — it’s the second international venue to host the event more than once.
Schedule
- Thursday: Five matches total, four-ball
- Friday: Five matches total, foursomes (alternate shot)
- Saturday: Eight matches total, four-ball and foursomes split the morning and afternoon
- Sunday: Twelve matches total, singles
The Presidents Cup happens every two years.
The four-day event is comprised of 30 total matches — with a 12-person U.S. Team and 12-person International Team.
The team who earns the most points at the end of the competition wins the Presidents Cup.
This year, three Canadians are on the International team, the most ever at a single Presidents Cup.
Plus, Canadian golf icon Mike Weir is the captain of this team.
The last and only win from the International team was back in 1998 — they tied in 2003.
The tournament continues until Sunday.
