18-year-old fatally hit by STM bus in Plateau

An 18-year-old man was fatally hit by an STM bus on Tuesday afternoon in the Plateau.

Montreal police (SPVM) say it happened around 4:30 p.m. on St-Denis, near de Rigaud.

“When police arrived on the scene, they quickly began resuscitation maneuvers, but unfortunately the death was pronounced on the spot,” said Sabrina Gauthier, spokesperson for the SPVM.

A perimeter is in place as collision investigators are on their way to learn more about what happened.

Witnesses are being met.

St-Denis is closed to traffic going south, from Cherrier to Sherbrooke.
