A vehicle was set on fire overnight in the borough of Anjou in Montreal.
Police (SPVM) received a 911 call at around 12:25 a.m. Wednesday about a car in flames in a parking lot behind a residential building on des Roseraies Blvd.
Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control, but the vehicle was seriously damaged.
“At least one incendiary object and traces of accelerant were found on site and these elements lead us to believe that it could be a case of arson,” said SPVM spokesperson Mariane Allaire Morin.
The vehicle was towed for examination.
There were no reported injuries and no arrests have been made.
The file has been transferred to the Montreal police arson squad.
In recent days, three other vehicles were also set on fire in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville.
