Shots fired in Kirkland, Montreal police investigating

Shots were fired late Sunday at a home in Kirkland, on Montreal’s West Island.

The shots rang out around 11:45 p.m. on Beaubois Street, near Timberlea-Trail Street.

Once on scene, police officers located projectile impacts on the home and shell casings on the ground.

“According to initial information obtained by police officers, the suspect(s) were in a vehicle. They allegedly fired in the direction of the residence and fled on Timberlea-Trail Street,” said Véronique Dubuc, a Montreal police spokesperson (SPVM).

No injuries were reported in connection with this incident.

A security perimeter was set up to allow the SPVM to conduct its investigation into the circumstances surrounding these shots.
