A pedestrian died after being hit by a car on Highway 13 in Laval on Thursday,
According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), they received a call around 5:15pm about a collision involving a vehicle and a man on the highway.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man with serious injuries. He was transported to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Initial information gathered by the police indicates that the pedestrian tried to cross the road on foot at kilometre 9.5, heading south, when a vehicle hit him. It’s still unclear why he was trying to cross.
