Winter activities at Old Port of Montreal

With the winter season around the corner, the Old Port of Montreal has announced their winter programming schedule.
Currently, the MTL Zipline will be open until Dec. 15 and the public is encouraged to take advantage of the fun activity before winter arrives.
The skating rink is set to open on Dec. 14 and the Bateau-Mouche Montréal is open until March 1 for “Frosted Evening” dinning experiences at the Montreal Clock Tower.
There will be several events hosted by Igloofest at the Old Port on Dec. 31 that will feature free concerts from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m. at the Jacques Cartier Pier, along with a firework show during the countdown to kick off the new year.
“This year’s DJ on Ice activities will be presented with Igloofest, with six consecutive Friday night events starting Jan. 10 to Feb. 14,” reads a press release.
Also, Igloofest’s 17th edition of the after-dark festival will feature 12 events at the Jacques Cartier Pier featuring the best local and international DJs from Jan. 16 to Feb. 8.
The Bota Bota spa will be open on the St. Lawrence all winter long.
Additionally, a new Café Van Houtte is set to open at the end of the month on King Edward Quay Street, near St. Lawrence Blvd.
The Montreal Science Centre will be open with holiday programming from Dec. 27 to Jan. 6.
The Old Port had 4.6 million visitors this summer, and saw a 15 per cent tourism increase compared to 2023.
