Car thieves hit Montreal police officer while trying to flee

A Montreal police (SPVM) officer was hit by a vehicle that was reportedly stolen on Tuesday evening.
SPVM officers intervened with three suspects who were said to be stealing a Toyota RAV4 around 7:45 p.m. at the corner of Décarie Blvd. and Paré Street.
When the officer went over to the driver’s window, the suspect reportedly pressed the gas, and the three individuals fled while hitting the officer.
The officer suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital, but their life is not in danger.
The suspects then drove onto Highway 40, where they later crashed near Christophe-Colomb Ave.
The three suspects were arrested.
