Body found in Rivière des Prairies: Laval police investigate

A body was found in Rivière des Prairies, next to Hydro power station on Monday – between Laval and Montreal.

Emergency services received a call around 3:40 p.m., and firefighters recovered the body near the top of the dam there.

Laval police (SPL) say the body must have followed the river current before being blocked by the dam structure.

The victim has not yet been identified, and the cause of death remains unknown.

SPL investigators were sent to analyze the scene.
