Snow, rain expected over next few days in Montreal

After Montrealers woke up to snow on Sunday, Environment Canada says the wet weather is expected to continue into the week. CityNews has more on what the weather has in store for Montreal.

Snow is falling around Montreal and parts of Quebec, but how long will it last?

Snow started last night around 9 p.m., and is expected to last until the early afternoon on Sunday, with intermittent rain.

The snow-rain combination could cause a headache for commuters, having an impact on road conditions and sidewalks.

After a few hours of reprieve, the snow is expected to start falling again in the early morning hours on Monday.

While Montrealers can expect snow on Monday with a daytime high of -7 C, the precipitation will continue into Tuesday as rain as it is expected to be a bit warmer with a daytime high of 4 C.

As the week goes on, the rain will continue into Wednesday before the snow returns again in the evening. While Wednesday’s daytime high is expected to be 4 C, the temperature is expected to drop into the evening, reaching a low of -4 C.

Thursday and Friday are expected to also be below zero, however, there should be no rain or snow.
