Several road closures planned in Montreal this weekend

Route 136 will be closed in both directions, between the Turcot interchange and downtown Montreal this weekend.

Transport Quebec says the closure is required to start the demolition on the Saint-Urbain Street overpass, above Route 136, and to reopen Exit 3 (Montreal Centre-Ville / Guy Street).

Route 136 Eastbound

The Turcot interchange will be completely closed starting on Friday at 11:59 p.m. until Sunday at 7:30 a.m.

There will be a complete closure between Exit 4 (A-10 / R-112 / Pont Victoria / R.-Bourassa Bould. / De la Montagne Street) and Atateken Street from Friday at 11:30 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.

Also, there will be a road closure between the Turcot interchange and Atateken Street and the reserve lane on Highway 20 eastbound will be closed from Saturday at 11:59 p.m. to Sunday at 7:30 a.m.

Traffic will be diverted onto Saint-Jacques and Saint-Antoine Street.

Route 136 Westbound

There will be a complete closure between Panet Street and the entrance from Lucien-L’Allier Street from Friday at 11 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m.

Traffic will be diverted onto Viger Ave. and Saint-Antoine Street.

The access ramps will be closed 30 to 60 minutes before the complete closure of Route 136.

Highway 10 / Bonaventure

The Bonaventure Highway (A-10) East will be closed between Exit 4 and the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge from Friday at 11 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.

Also, at the end of the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge (towards Montreal), at Exit 58 (Highway 10 West/ downtown / Nuns’ Island), the ramp leading to Highway will be closed.

Honoré-Mercier Bridge (R-132/R-138) Interchange in Kahnawake

The ramp leading from the R-138 West (coming from La Prairie) to the Honoré-Mercier bridge (towards Montreal) and the Honoré-Mercier Bridge ramp (coming from Montreal) to the R-132 East (towards La Prairie) will be closed from:

Saturday at 10 p.m. to Sunday at 5 a.m.

Sunday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m.

REM

There will be several changes to the REM schedule this weekend.

On Friday and Saturday, the last departure on the REM service line will be at 11:45 p.m. from Montreal / Central Station and at 11:25 p.m. from Brossard.

On Saturday and Sunday, the REM service will start at 8 a.m.

The detours will be marked by temporary signage.

Work may be postponed, extended, or cancelled due to weather conditions or operational constraints.
