Montreal North apartment building fire leaves several families homeless

Montreal firefighters had to extinguish a three-alarm fire in Montreal North on Tuesday night.

Around 70 firefighters were called about a four-story apartment building on fire at the intersection of Henri-Bourassa Blvd. and Pelletier Ave.

The blaze started on the second floor, but the cause remains unknown.

According to the police, the Red Cross is assisting close to 30 families.

One person was treated for smoke inhalation, but no other injuries were reported.
