The Lucien-L’Allier train station is reopening on Saturday in Montreal.
Exo says three train lines will be returning to the station.
Commuters will once again have direct access to downtown Montreal for anyone using Line 11 Vaudreuil / Hudson, Line 12 – Saint-Jérôme and Line 14 – Candiac.
According to Exo, Line 11 will be open on Dec. 21 and Line 12 and 14 will be open on Dec. 23.
Renovations have been ongoing since April, with a total budget of $69 million.
Some of the repairs included adding a wooden canopy to provide additional protection against bad weather, adjusting the boarding platforms to have better accessibility and adding new emergency exits.
“Some work remains to be completed, including the addition of tactile tiles on the platforms and the updating of interior and exterior signage. In addition, the extension of track number six will be completed in spring 2025,” reads a press release.
On Line 12, trains 180 and 187 are scheduled to resume service in 2025 and will continue with their current schedule.
Currently, the 180 train at 7:30 a.m. ends at Parc Station and the 187 train at 5:35 p.m. starts at Parc Station.
