The “Magical Winter Trail” is open to the public until March, with over 800,000 lights and 700 installations in downtown Montreal.
Everyone is encouraged to take a stroll or complete some last-minute shopping in the winter wonderland themed setting.
The trail takes under an hour to complete and is completely free and open for all.
“Among the nine main attractions on the trail, the Forest of Frozen Pearls, the Starlit Gallery and the Sparkling Tunnel will immerse you in a magical universe,” reads a press release.

The Forest of Frozen Pearls is set in Dorchester Square and will feature an illuminated bridge, a giant moose, and suspended balls.
The Starlit Gallery is featured in Phillips Square, where the buildings will all be lit up.
Additionally, the Sparking Tunnel takes place at Victoria Square, where citizens can walk though five tunnels, with 43 structures suspended from trees.
“Downtown’s Magical Winter Trail brings a little warmth and magic to our long winter nights. We’re especially proud of our downtown public spaces and heritage: this winter, jump at the opportunity to walk the Magical Winter Trail and enjoy all that downtown has to offer,” said Glenn Castanheira, General Manager of Montréal centre-ville.
