Montreal under weather advisory, snow ahead

Environment Canada issued a weather warning for the Montreal area on Monday.
According to the weather agency, Montrealers could see 10 to 15 cm of snow accumulation by Christmas Eve.
“A winter weather travel advisory is in effect from Dec. 23 to 24,” reads the statement. “Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas and if you must drive, be prepared for areas with poor visibility.”
The affected areas include Montreal, Montérégie, Lanaudière, Laurentians, Outaouais, Mauricie, Centre-du-Québec and Eastern Townships.
In Gatineau, snow is expected to arrive starting Monday afternoon and it will become heavy at times in the evening and overnight.
“The snow will change to flurries late tonight with a risk of freezing drizzle,” said Environment Canada.
On Monday, a high of -8 degrees, with a low of -10. It will feel like -17 tonight with the windchill.
On Tuesday, a mix of sun and clouds, with the snow clearing in the morning. A high of -9 and a low of -17.
Sunny skies on Christmas Day, with a high of -11 and a low of -16 degrees.
Similar weather on Thursday with a high of -11 and a low of -12.
Mix of sun and clouds on Friday, with a high of -7 and a low of -5.
On Saturday, possible mixed weather with a 30 per cent chance of rain or flurries with a high of 2 degrees, and a low of 1.
Wet weather on Sunday, with a 60 per cent chance of showers, and a high of 4 degrees.
