Colder temperatures here to stay in Montreal

After an unseasonably warm start to the year, the cold weather is moving in.

Environment Canada is forecasting a mix of sun and cloud with chances of flurries and much colder temperatures for the weekend and the start of next week.

Friday calls for cloudy skies with a 40 per cent chance of flurries. Temperatures steady near -5, but the wind chill making it feel like -15.

The wind chill will make it feel like -20 overnight.

Temperatures on Saturday are expected to stay around -10 degrees, though it could feel like -19 with the wind chill. A 60 per cent chance of flurries overnight.

Sunday’s sunny but cold temperatures will bring a high of -11 degrees and a low of -17 degrees.

Early next week, a mix of sun and clouds, and a little milder with a high of -11 and a low of -14 for Monday.

A mix of sun and clouds forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday, with a high of -8 and a low of -14.
