Armed assault in Plateau-Mont-Royal: 27-year-old man injured

Montreal police say a 27-year-old was injured in an armed assault in the Plateau-Mont-Royal Monday afternoon.

The SPVM says the victim’s life is not in danger.

Calls to 911 came in around 2 p.m. about a person injured with a sharp object at Milton Street and du Parc Avenue, according to police spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils.

The suspect fled before police arrived, Chèvrefils added.

Crime scene technicians and a canine unit were at the scene Monday, and police were checking surveillance cameras in the area.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
