Attempted arson attack on a business in Pointe-St-Charles

Montreal police (SPVM) is investigating after a business in the Sud-Ouest borough was targeted by a Molotov cocktail overnight Wednesday.

SPVM were called around 2:15 a.m. about an alarm going off at a business on Wellington Street, near Charron Street.

When they arrived on scene, police saw the window of the business shattered and located an extinguished incendiary object.

The damage to the establishment was minor and no one was injured.

No suspects have been arrested so far.

The investigation has been transferred to the SPVM’s arson unit, which will aim to shed light on the circumstances of this event.
