La Fontaine tunnel closed Friday night into Saturday

Motorists can expect to see a complete closure of both directions of Highway 25, including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel, during the night of January 17 to 18.

The ramp leading from Highway 40 westbound to Highway 25 southbound will also be closed.

According to the Transport Ministry, these closures are required to carry out work related to the tunnel’s electrical and communication systems.

Maintenance work is also planned on Highway 25.

Friday to Saturday night, from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.
