Montreal’s second snow removal operation underway

The second snow removal operation of the season began Tuesday morning in all Montreal boroughs.

Nearly 3,000 workers and 2,500 snow removal vehicles took part in the loading operations, which covered the city’s 10,000 kilometre network.

The city asks Montrealers to respect no parking signs and to check their Info-neige app to see the status of the operation.

More snow is still expected as Environment Canada called for two centimetres more on Tuesday.

Temperatures felt like -13 with the wind chill.

Wednesday expected to bring a mix of sun and clouds and a high of minus six, but near -15 with the wind chill.

Thursday is expected to be cloudy and minus six as the high.

Snow is back in the forecast for Friday, with a chance of flurries during the daytime and more snow at night.

Saturday will bring above zero temperatures with a high of plus three — but the mercury expected to dip down again during Saturday night at -13 and a chance of flurries.
