The Montréal Roses have confirmed they will be playing their inaugural season of the Northern Super League at Centre Sportif Bois-de-Boulogne in Laval.
Centre Sportif Bois-de-Boulogne has been newly renovated and serves as the training centre for the Roses, and becomes the first stadium designed for the needs of women’s professional soccer in Canada.
“We are grateful for the warm welcome and outstanding support from the Centre Sportif Bois-de-Boulogne and the City of Laval, allowing us to provide our players with an environment that truly reflects our club’s identity,” said Annie Larouche, the president of the Montréal Roses.
“Competing in the same space where they train daily gives them a significant home-field advantage. Additionally, our athletes will benefit from fully renovated locker rooms, equipped with all the amenities needed to perform at their best.”
The venue will have a capacity of 5,581 spectators, and will primarily host the Montréal Roses, with the ability to host other events.
“We are honoured to welcome Québec’s first professional women’s soccer team to Laval,” said Laval Mayor Stéphane Boyer. “Sports play a vital role in our community, promoting health, personal growth, and a strong sense of belonging.
“The arrival of the Montréal Roses will inspire young girls, showing them that they, too, can aspire to reach the highest levels of the sport. We believe this team will help grow the game while fostering values of equality and perseverance. We wish the Roses great success in their inaugural season.”
The stadium is located near major highways — Highway 15, 19 and 44 — and metro stations De La Concorde and Cartier, which are both under 10 minutes from the venue.
Additionally, a shuttle service will be available on game days for fans who might not want to park at the stadium.
