Montreal Police (SPVM) are investigating what they are calling a “suspicious death,” after the body of a teenager was found in a Dollard-Des Ormeaux park on Thursday morning.
Authorities were called to the scene at around 8 a.m. by a passerby who found an unconscious male on the ground near Trinity and Chauret streets in Trottier Park, according to the SPVM.
“It’s a passerby that found that discovered a body. The victim is a man aged possibly between 16 and 18 years old,” explained Mariane Allaire Morin, Montreal police spokesperson. “So far, we don’t have his identity, but what we know is when paramedics and firefighters arrive on site, no CPR maneuvers were done because his death was pronounced on site.”

All possibilities are being examined, added Allaire Morin.
“At this time, all the circumstances surrounding his death are unknown, so that’s why we consider this as a ‘suspicious death.’ That’s why our investigators are right now on site, assisted by the forensic experts and the canine unit to know all the circumstances surrounding his death.”
