By News Staff

Authorities are requesting help from the public in locating a missing teenage girl in the Montreal area.

Amézyane Blanchette

Amézyane Blanchette, 16, has been missing since Jan. 6, Longueuil police say. Authorities believe she could be in the Saint-Jérôme area.

“We have reason to fear for her safety,” police say.

Anyone who sees Amézyane is asked to call 911.

Meanwhile, two 16-year-old girls from Laval – one who was missing since Jan. 25 and another Feb. 1 – were found “safe and sound,” Laval police said Saturday, and the second on Tuesday night.

CityNews has removed information identifying the teenagers.
