74-year-old Montrealer in critical condition after fall on bus

Around 1:25 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, a 911 call was made reporting an unconscious man with upper body injuries after falling on a Montreal bus.
Officers responded to Châteauneuf Blvd., near Azilda Ave., in the Anjou borough. When they arrived they found the 74-year-old man inside the bus.
Paramedics and the Montreal Fire department took over his care, and he was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Preliminary information suggests the fall resulted from emergency braking by the bus driver.
The investigation has been handed over to the SPVM’s collision investigation unit to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The man remains in critical condition at the hospital.
