Shots fired at downtown Montreal restaurant

Montreal police (SPVM) are looking into an incident where gunshots were fired at a downtown restaurant early Wednesday.
Officers were conducting their patrols at around 4:15 a.m. near Sainte-Catherine Street and de Bleury Street when they noticed damage to the restaurant’s windows.

“There were several bullet marks found on the front glass of the restaurant,” explained Caroline Chèvrefils, a spokesperson for the SPVM. “Several shell casings were also discovered at the scene.”

No injuries have been reported, and no arrests have been made so far.

“The exact circumstances are unclear. The area has been secured by investigators,” Chèvrefils added.
The investigation is still ongoing.
