Several Exo trains cancelled due to snow accumulation

By News Staff

An accumulation of snow on Exo rail lines has resulted in train cancellations Tuesday.

Switch problems at “strategic locations on the network” were also to blame for the rail service disruptions, an Exo spokesperson told CityNews.

Several rush-hour departures on three Exo lines were cancelled.

Line 11 (Vaudreuil/Hudson)

  • Train 121 at 4:20 p.m. towards Vaudreuil
  • Train 25 at 5:40 p.m. towards Vaudreuil

Line 12 (Saint-Jérôme)

  • Train 185 at 4:36 p.m. towards Saint-Jérôme

Line 14 (Candiac)

  • Train 81 at 3:35 p.m. towards Candiac
  • Train 85 at 4:15 p.m. towards Candiac
  • Train 89 at 5:17 p.m. towards Candiac

The Exo spokesperson says departures towards Mascouche will be from the Ahuntsic station due to a switch problem between Ahuntsic and Central Station.

Line 13 (Mont-Saint-Hilaire) was not impacted by snow accumulation.

Exo users are being warned train rides may be slower than usual, and they are urged to visit the Exo website or their multiple X accounts for more details.
