More snow headed for Montreal as March break begins

To kick off March break in Quebec, more snow is on the way this weekend.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) issued a weather advisory Friday, warning of snowfall accumulations of up to 10 cm on Saturday in the greater Montreal region.

The snow, at times heavy, is expected to begin falling on Friday evening and overnight.

ECCC warns of blowing snow on Saturday morning, which will reduce visibility. They caution motorists to adjust their driving with changing road conditions.

The forecasted high for Friday is -5°C. The low will drop to -8°C, but with the wind chill it’s expected to feel like -15°C.

Saturday will bring above 0 temperatures — plus 1 as the high, but then the mercury will take a massive dip and drop to -18°C.

Snow isn’t in the forecast again until Monday night.
