21-year-old stabbed after fight in Montreal

A 21-year-old man is in critical condition after being injured in the lower body by a sharp object on Friday evening in Montreal. 

According to Montreal Police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant, a 911 call was received around 6:50 p.m. regarding a fight that reportedly escalated between several people on Berger Street, near Sainte-Catherine Street, in the Ville-Marie borough. 

Emergency services quickly spotted the young man, who was then taken to hospital. Police say they fear for the victim’s life.

According to Brabant, there are no arrests at this time.

Investigators were dispatched to analyze the scene and determine the circumstances surrounding this altercation.
