Montreal continues snow clearing efforts as snowfall persists

After Friday’s snow fall Montreal snow operations is still making progress at 97 per cent of snow pickup complete.
Flurries are expected Saturday the high will reach plus 2°C, but temperatures will drop to minus 7°C this afternoon, with a wind chill making it feel like minus 14°C.
Tonight, flurries will taper off, and skies will clear. The wind chill will remain at minus 14°C this evening and drop to minus 27°C overnight.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) issued a weather advisory Friday, warning of snowfall accumulations on Saturday in the greater Montreal region.

The three boroughs that have made the most progress in snow clearing are Pierrefonds-Roxboro at 100 per cent complete, Plateau Mont Royal at 100 per cent, and Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve at 97 per cent.
Those falling behind include: Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc Extension at 97 per cent, Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve at 97 per cent Pickup Complete, Île-Bizard-Sainte-Geneviève: Pickup 93 per cent complete.
Flurries and Cold Temperatures Ahead
Looking ahead to Sunday, mainly sunny skies are expected, though temperatures will remain chilly with a high of minus 12°C.
On Monday, expect sunny weather with a high of minus 6°C.
Tuesday, will bring cloudy skies with a high of plus 2°C, and periods of rain or snow are expected at night with a low near zero.
Wednesday, will be rainy, with a high of 6°C. Showers will continue into the night, with a low of plus 5°C.
Thursday, will see showers, with a high of 6°C, and a 60 per cent chance of flurries at night, dropping to a low of minus 9°C.
Friday, will feature a mix of sun and cloud, with a high of zero degrees.
