Montreal police (SPVM) are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery that occurred on Sept. 3, 2024, at a convenience store in the Verdun borough.
“During the incident, the suspect entered the store after ensuring the clerk was alone inside,” the SPVM said in a news release. “He approached the counter and first asked for a pack of cigarettes before demanding the contents of the register.”
“When the clerk refused, the suspect went behind the counter, punched the victim, grabbed the cash drawer, and fled on foot. The victim was not seriously injured,” the SPVM added.
