Man dies in ATV accident in Quebec

A man died after crashing an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) on Saturday in a quarry near 10th Range North and 14th Street in East Broughton, Chaudière-Appalaches.

The MRC des Appalaches police were called on Saturday around 1:30 p.m. to report the accident.

According to Sûreté du Québec Sergeant Béatrice Dorsainville, the driver was alone on his ATV and apparently lost control of the vehicle. The ATV then reportedly overturned, seriously injuring the driver. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation is underway, and a collision investigation officer will analyze the scene.
