REM experiencing technical issues again causing service disruptions Thursday morning

By News Staff

The Réseau express métropolitain (REM) service was modified Thursday morning in the middle of rush hour due to a technical problem.

The network posted on social media that a “technical issue” was causing service interruptions in both directions across the entire network.

This morning they also posted to X saying an issue was causing a two-way interruption between the Panama station in Brossard on the South Shore and Gare Centrale in downtown Montreal.

Posting an update at 9:32 a.m. that service resumption is undetermined.

The REM stated that shuttle buses are available to help commuters reach their destinations.

At 11:04 a.m. the REM said that “normal network service has been restored in both directions.”
