Montreal braces for a little more snow

Montreal hasn’t gotten rid of the snow just yet, five centimetres could fall on Tuesday – with temperatures steady around zero.

Flurries are likely to complicate travel on the roads during rush hour in most areas of the southwest and central parts of the province, which is set to be swept by a low-pressure system that may leave up to 20 centimetres of accumulation in some regions.

A special weather statement from Environment Canada is in effect for certain areas of the Ottawa Valley and the St. Lawrence River Valley.

The Outaouais is likely to receive up to 10 centimetres of snow, while the mercury will be below freezing.

When will the snow end?

For Montreal, the snow is expected to tapper out around midnight and dip down to minus 8°C.
