Montreal police investigate alleged arson attacks at two LaSalle bars

Police are investigating two suspected arson attacks that occurred early Monday morning in LaSalle, which appear to be connected.
The incidents happened just minutes apart around 3:45 a.m. at two bars located about 250 metres from each other on Dollard Avenue. The first fire was reported near Chartrand Street, while the second occurred closer to Lithuania Street—a location previously targeted by gunfire in 2024.
In both cases, suspects arrived in a vehicle and threw incendiary items into the businesses. The method used in each attack was similar, leading investigators to believe the incidents may be linked. Damage to both establishments was minor.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
