3 suspects arrested for 2022 Montreal North murder

Montreal police (SPVM), in collaboration with the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), arrested three individuals in connection with a fatal August 2022 shooting in Montreal North.
The suspects, aged 20, 23, and 24, were taken into custody on Friday. Authorities confirmed that one of the individuals was a minor at the time of the incident. In addition to the arrests, investigators carried out a search in Laval as part of the ongoing investigation. A previous search was conducted in November 2024 along the banks of the Mille-Îles River.
The shooting took place at approximately 10:25 p.m. in the parking lot of Lester B. Pearson High School near P.-M.-Favier Ave. and de Charny Street on August 10, 2022. Two armed individuals reportedly opened fire on a group of men, fatally wounding a 26-year-old man and injuring another 25-year-old. The victim was transported to hospital, but later died from his injuries. The incident marked Montreal’s 19th homicide of 2022.
The investigation into the murder and attempted murder is ongoing.
