Montreal police looking for victims of suspect who allegedly lured teenage girls

Montreal police (SPVM) are turning to the public in an effort to find potential sexual assault victims.

SPVM says that on April 8, 24-year-old Andrew D’Apice was taken into custody and charged with several offences, including sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, production of child pornography and luring minors for sexual purposes.

Police say that through an investigation, they learned that D’Apice was using several social media platforms, including Snapchat and Wizz, to allegedly contact minors between 12 and 16 years old for sexual purposes.

It is believed he used the username LIAMD2825 on Snapchat, and claimed that he was a 16-year-old named Liam.

“After quickly establishing an online link with the girls, the suspect allegedly invited them to join him in his car – a white 2019 Hyundai Elantra – where sexual gestures were allegedly made. He also allegedly solicited explicit images from his victims,” writes the SPVM in a press release.

It is believed that incidents happened around Montreal and surrounding areas, and police believe that there might be additional victims.

D’Apice has been described as 1.80 m tall and weighs around 70 kg. He has brown hair.

“He speaks mainly English, but also has a good command of French,” according to police.

Anyone who believes they’ve been a victim of Andree D’Apice are asked to go to their local police station, call 911, or Info-Crime Montreal at 514-393-1133 or via their online form.
